Teletalk photo 300×300 and signature 300×80, step by step
By Umair Tahir · Updated 13 October 2026
Bangladesh government job applications go through Teletalk, and every one of them asks for the same two files: a colour photo of exactly 300 × 300 pixels under 100 KB, and a scanned signature of exactly 300 × 80 pixels under 60 KB. The portal checks the pixel size, so a photo that is “about” 300 × 300 is refused. This guide shows how to make both files from a phone, and quotes the BPSC help page so you know the rule is right.
What exactly does Teletalk ask for?
The BPSC online application help page, run by Teletalk, says: “Photo dimensions are 300 X 300 pixels (Width X Height). The file size is less than 100 kbytes.” and “Dimensions of signature are 300 x 80 pixels (Width X Height). Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 60kb.” It also says the photo must be in colour, and lists what is refused: black and white, blurred, too light or dark, obscured, uncropped, or anything that is not a photograph.
Other Teletalk portals (for individual ministries and departments) have their own help pages, and in our experience they state the same two sizes. Open the help page of the portal you are applying on and confirm before you upload; if its figures differ, those win.
Why does the pixel size have to be exact?
Because the portal’s uploader checks width and height, not just file size. A 301 × 300 file fails. Most phone apps resize by a percentage or to a long edge, which rarely lands on exactly 300 × 300. The tool on this site is set to the exact size: it crops to a square, saves at exactly 300 × 300 pixels, and lowers only the JPG quality until the file is under 100 KB. A 300 × 300 photo is normally 20 to 40 KB, so the size limit is not a problem once the pixels are right.
How do I make the 300 × 300 photo?
- Take a head and shoulders photo in daylight against a plain light wall, phone upright, flash off. Look straight at the camera.
- Open the Teletalk page on this site. “Photo · under 100 KB” is selected by default.
- Choose the photo. A square frame appears with the note “Exactly 300 × 300 px, as the form asks”.
- Drag so the head sits in the middle with the top of the hair a little below the top edge, and zoom until the face fills about two thirds of the height; the help page refuses faces that are too close or too far.
- Download JPG. The preview shows 300 × 300 px and the file size under 100 KB.
How do I make the 300 × 80 signature?
- Sign on plain white paper with a black or dark blue pen, a normal size signature, the way you sign documents.
- Photograph it from directly above in good light, or scan it. Keep the paper flat so the lines are not bent.
- On the Teletalk page, tap “Signature · under 60 KB”. The frame changes to a wide 300 × 80 box.
- Drag and zoom so the signature fills the box with a small margin on each side, no finger or table edge in view.
- Download JPG. The file is exactly 300 × 80 pixels and under 60 KB.
What are the common reasons for rejection?
- Black and white or grayscale photo. The help page requires colour. Do not apply filters.
- Signature on lined paper or a coloured background. It still fits the size, but a clean white background is what the examiners expect.
- A photo of a photo, or a scanned old print. It comes out dull. Take a fresh picture.
- Uploading the photo in the signature slot or the other way round. The portal has two separate links; check the preview before you confirm.
- A file that was resized with an app that stretched it. The face looks squashed. Crop, never stretch; the tool crops.
Where do I upload them on Teletalk?
The help page says there are two separate links for uploading the photo and the signature on the application form. Click each link, browse to the file you downloaded, and upload. The portal also offers a Photo/Signature Validator that checks pixel size and file size; a file from this site passes it, and running the validator first saves a rejected application.
Can I reuse the files for another Teletalk application?
Yes, if the next portal states the same sizes, which is usually the case, and if the photo is still recent. Keep both files in a folder on your phone named for the application and the date. If a portal states a different size, open the home page of this site, choose “Other size”, and type the figures it asks for.
