What 100 KB is good for
Portals that ask for 100 KB are usually asking for more than a face: a CNIC, a domicile, a fee receipt or a certificate photographed with a phone. For that reason the tool on this page starts with “Full image” selected, which keeps the whole picture and reduces it to about 1,200 pixels on its longer side.
If you are uploading a photograph of yourself, choose “Passport photo” instead. A passport photo needs far less than 100 KB, so the file will be well under the limit.
Keeping a document readable
Photograph the page flat, in daylight, with the phone held directly above it, and crop the photo to the edges of the page. Empty table around the page uses up file size that should go to the text.
After downloading, open the file and zoom in on the smallest text. If you can read it, so can the person who checks your application.
