How to use this table

Find your form, note the limit and the format, and open the form’s page by tapping its name. That page has a resizer already set to the limit, the organisation’s exact wording, and answers to common questions about that upload.

If your form is not listed, look for the limit on the form itself or in its instructions, then use the photo resizer and type that limit in KB.

Why the limits differ so much

Each organisation runs its own portal and sets its own rule. The strictest in this list is the Join Pak Navy form at 20 KB. The most generous are NTS and the passport portal at 5 MB. A photo prepared for one form can be refused by another, so prepare the picture for the form you are filling.

Sizes you may see on other websites

Some websites publish sizes that do not appear in the official documents. Two examples we found: a 140 × 177 pixel size given for PPSC, which comes from Indian exam websites, and a 20 KB limit given for Join Pak Army, whose own form states 300 KB. When two sources disagree, trust the organisation’s own document.

Questions

What is the photo size for online job applications in Pakistan?
It depends on the organisation. FPSC and ASF ask for less than 30 KB, PPSC for less than 25 KB, the Join Pak Navy form for less than 20 KB, and the Join Pak Army form for at most 300 KB. NTS and the online passport portal allow up to 5 MB. The table on this page lists each one with its source.
Which forms also need a CNIC image?
PPSC and ASF both ask for an image of the front of the CNIC, under the same limit as the photograph: 25 KB for PPSC and 30 KB for ASF.
Which forms state a background colour?
NTS and Join Pak Army ask for a blue or white background. The online passport portal asks for a plain white background. The FPSC, PPSC, ASF and Join Pak Navy documents we read do not name a colour.
Do these forms state a size in pixels?
Most do not. FPSC, PPSC, ASF, Pak Navy and Pak Army state a file size only. The passport portal gives a printed size of 35 mm by 45 mm.
How do I know these numbers are correct?
Each number was read in the organisation’s own guideline, manual or application form on the date shown, and each row links to that source. Requirements can change, so read the current advertisement before you apply.
