About FormKB

FormKB helps people in Pakistan get past the picture upload on an online application. You choose the form, choose your photo or CNIC image, and download a copy that fits the limit that form states.

Why this site exists

Government and testing portals set very small limits for pictures, often 20 to 30 KB, while a phone photo is several thousand KB. People lose time on the last day of an application looking for a way to shrink one photo. Some of the advice online also quotes sizes that do not appear in the organisations’ own documents.

This site does two things about that. It gives a resizer that works in a phone’s browser without an app, and it lists only limits that were read in the organisation’s own document or form.

How the limits are checked

  • Each limit is taken from an official guideline, manual or application form, never from another website.
  • Each form page quotes the official wording, links to the source and shows the date it was checked.
  • If a source does not state something, such as a pixel size or a file format, the page says so.
  • A form is added only after its official source has been found and read.

Your pictures stay with you

The resizer runs inside your browser. Your photo and your CNIC image are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us. The privacy policy explains this in full.

Who runs it

FormKB is built and maintained by Umair Tahir, a full stack web developer based in Lahore, Pakistan. More of Umair’s work is on the portfolio site.

FormKB is independent. It is not run by, or connected with, any government body or testing service named on this site.
