What the Army form checks

The picture field on the registration form accepts one file. The form refuses the file if it is larger than 300 KB or if it is not a JPEG, and shows the message “File must be a JPEG under 300KB.” A PNG or a screenshot will be refused even when it is small enough.

If the picture is missing or was refused, the form will not submit and asks you to recheck the photograph size.

A square picture, not a tall one

The form asks for a “1x1” picture, which means the width and the height are equal. This is different from the taller 35 × 45 mm passport shape used on other forms, so the tool on this page starts with the square shape selected. Drag the picture until your head and shoulders sit in the middle of the square.

The form also names the background, blue or white, and asks for formal dress. Neither can be fixed afterwards by a resizer, so take the photo against a plain blue or white background before you bring it here.

Blogs that say 20 KB

Some websites state that the Join Pak Army picture must be 20 KB. The registration form itself, as checked on the date shown above, states a maximum of 300 KB. The 20 KB limit belongs to the Join Pak Navy form.
