Two photographs: live and scanned
The 2027 form takes the photograph twice. First a live photograph is captured through the webcam of the device you are filling the form on (or through a QR code scanned with a phone if the device has no camera). Then a scanned passport size photograph is uploaded as a file. The bulletin asks for the same look in both: a white background, proper lighting, and 80% of the frame filled by the face, including the ears, without a mask.
Only the uploaded file has a size rule: between 10 kB and 200 kB, JPG or JPEG. A phone photo is 2 to 8 MB and is refused; a heavily compressed picture under 10 kB is refused too. The tool above saves a passport shaped JPG inside that range, aiming at about 150 kB so the face stays sharp.
The signature
Sign in black or dark blue ink on plain white paper, photograph or scan it in good light, crop to the signature with a little white margin, and upload. The bulletin gives no pixel size, only the 10 kB to 100 kB range and JPG/JPEG. The tool keeps the shape of your crop and brings the file inside the range.
The bulletin says the signature and photograph must be the candidate’s own. Uploading someone else’s picture or signature is treated as an unfair means practice, and the form cannot be corrected after the correction window closes (27 to 29 November 2026 for Session 1).
The PDF uploads
Three documents are uploaded as PDF, each between 50 kB and 300 kB: the Class 10 certificate or marks sheet; the disability or UDID certificate, where applicable; and the certificate about a physical limitation to write, where applicable. Foreign nationals, including OCI card holders, also upload the non-Indian passport as a PDF of 50 kB to 300 kB.
A phone scan saved as PDF is usually 1 to 3 MB. The compress PDF tool on this site brings it under 300 kB; check afterwards that it is still above 50 kB and that the marks are readable.
Session 1 dates that matter for the upload
Online application: 24 October to 22 November 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). Fee payment: by 22 November 2026. Late fee window: 23 to 26 November 2026, with an additional Rs 500. Correction of particulars: 27 to 29 November 2026. Admit cards: 13 January 2027. Examination: 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28 January 2027.
Session 2 opens on 5 January 2027 and closes on 3 February 2027, with the examination on 2 to 7 April 2027. The same upload rules apply.
