Honhaar Scholarship documents, affidavit and photo upload
By Umair Tahir · Updated 27 October 2026
Phase IV of the Chief Minister Punjab Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship opened on 19 October 2026 and, in the portal’s words, “the last date for submission of online applications is November 09, 2026”. The application is online only, there is no fee and no hard copy, and the whole thing rests on five uploaded documents and an affidavit. This page gives the official list, the affidavit rule, the eligibility numbers you are checked against, and the practical part nobody writes down: how to turn a phone photo of a certificate into an upload the reviewer can actually read.
The documents the portal asks for
The portal’s FAQ says applicants must upload the mandatory documents specified on the application portal, and lists what they may include. Treat the list on your own application page as final; these are the items it names:
- CNIC, front and back (the applicant’s own; for students under 18 the B-Form).
- Matriculation or O-Level equivalence certificate.
- Intermediate or A-Level equivalence certificate (for 2nd semester/year onward applicants, the result or transcript the portal asks for).
- Punjab domicile certificate, issued by the competent authority for any district of Punjab.
- Income affidavit on e-stamp paper of at least Rs 50, prepared from the template on the portal.
The FAQ does not publish a file format or size limit. Its only rule is that “all uploaded documents are legible, accurate, and complete”, which in practice means a scan that opens quickly and can be read without zooming. News guides mention an earlier phase asking for JPG or PNG files under 200 KB; the current portal does not state that, so the safe choice is a JPG or PDF between 200 KB and 1 MB per document, which passes any usual upload limit and still shows every digit.
The income affidavit
The affidavit is the document most applications get stuck on. Download the template from the portal, have it written on e-stamp paper of at least Rs 50 in the name of the parent or guardian, fill in the family’s monthly income, get it attested as the template instructs, and only then scan it. Scan both the stamp paper and the typed text in one upright image; a photo taken at an angle with a shadow across the stamp is the usual reason a reviewer cannot accept it. The income figure must sit under the limit for your institution type: up to Rs 350,000 per month for public sector institutions and up to Rs 500,000 for the partner federal and private universities.
Who is eligible
| Applicant | Public universities | HED colleges | Federal or private partner universities | Public medical and dental colleges |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st semester or 1st year (Intermediate marks) | 70% Sciences, 65% Arts | 65% Sciences, 60% Arts | 70% Sciences, 65% Arts | 80% |
| 2nd semester or year onward (GPA or CGPA) | 70% Sciences, 65% Arts | 70% Sciences, 65% Arts | as per portal | 60% in annual exams |
All applicants need a Punjab domicile; there is no age limit; students of private or affiliated colleges are not eligible, and only the disciplines listed in the portal’s dropdown qualify. Phase IV covers both new entrants of Fall 2026 and continuing students from the 2nd semester or year onward.
Making uploads that pass
- Photograph each document flat, from directly above, in daylight, with the whole page in the frame and nothing else. Crop to the edges of the page.
- CNIC: one image for the front and one for the back, each cropped to the card’s edges; the number and the photo must be readable. The CNIC guide on this site shows the crop.
- Certificates and domicile: keep the stamps and signatures sharp; if the file is over 1 MB, resize it with the tool on this site rather than lowering the quality.
- Name your files before uploading (cnic-front, cnic-back, matric, inter, domicile, affidavit) so you do not attach the wrong one; the portal does not let you edit a submitted application yourself.
- Check each upload opens on your phone after submission; a blank or sideways file is a rejection you only hear about after the deadline.
Applying, in order
- Read the eligibility and instructions on honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk.
- Register and fill the form with your discipline and your registration or roll number exactly as your institution has it.
- Upload the documents above.
- Submit before 9 November 2026. Online submission is enough; no hard copy, no fee.
- For problems with the form, contact your institution’s focal person or the portal’s Help Desk; the programme’s email is honhaar@punjabhec.gov.pk and the phones are 042-99231903 and 042-99231904.
