Punjab e-bike scheme 2026: ballot result, status and documents

By Umair Tahir · Updated 30 October 2026

The Chief Minister Punjab e-bike scheme closed its application window on 4 October 2026, and the portal at bikes.punjab.gov.pk now shows only a Login button. More than 600,000 students completed applications for 100,000 electric scooters, so an e-ballot decides who gets one. This page separates what the official portal states from what has only been reported in the news, explains where the result and the application status will actually appear, and lists the documents a selected student has to produce, because the delivery stage is where incomplete paperwork costs people their bike.

Several websites already carry pages titled “e-bike balloting result 2026 by CNIC”. None of them is official, and as of this writing there is no result to check. The only addresses that will carry the ballot are the scheme portal and the Punjab government site, both on the punjab.gov.pk domain. Anyone asking for a fee to check or speed up a result is not part of the scheme.

How to check your application status

  1. Open bikes.punjab.gov.pk and click Login (not Apply Now; applications are closed).
  2. Sign in with the CNIC or B-Form number and the password you created when you applied. Use the mobile number given on the application if the portal sends a code; it is the guarantor’s number in most applications.
  3. Your application page shows the stage it has reached. The portal describes five stages: Submit Application, Documentation (“complete documentation and proceed accordingly”), Verification (“applicant details and eligibility are verified”), Approval & Financing (“complete the required approval and financing formalities”), and Bike Delivery.
  4. If the login fails or the page shows an error about your documents, call the helpline 042-99212260 or write to support@bikes.punjab.gov.pk with your CNIC and application number.

The portal does not describe how ballot winners will be told. In the 2024 round the government published successful and waiting lists after the e-ballot and applicants then completed bank formalities, so expect the same shape this time: a list or a status change on your login page, followed by a documentation and financing step with a deadline. Check your login every few days rather than relying on a forwarded message.

The documents the portal asks for

The eligibility section of the portal lists what an applicant and a guarantor must hold. A selected student should have scans or clear photos of each of these ready before the documentation stage opens:

Documents listed on bikes.punjab.gov.pk
WhoDocumentRule on the portal
StudentCNIC, B-Form or Child Registration CertificateValid, as applicable to the student’s age
StudentStudent card or institutional letterProof of being a bonafide student of a public or private institution in Punjab
StudentLatest paid fee slipRequired as proof of current enrolment
StudentDriving licence, learner’s permit or juvenile driving permitMust be valid; a 16-year-old gets a juvenile permit at a Sahulat Center with a guardian
GuarantorCNICParent or legal guardian with valid proof of income
GuarantorProof of a regular income of at least Rs 40,000 a month“Verifiable and regular source of income”
GuarantorRecent bank statement“Evidence of financial capacity”
GuarantorMobile SIM registered in the guarantor’s own nameThe number on the application must be the guarantor’s (or the student’s, if the student has a documented income)

Students of federally chartered institutes, including their campuses, are not eligible under the portal’s rules, and the minimum age at submission was 16. If any of these documents was uploaded at an angle, cut off or too small to read, replace it with a flat, upright scan now; the resizer on this site makes a clear JPG at whatever limit the portal sets.

The money

Financing terms quoted from the portal’s FAQ
ItemPortal answer
Price of the e-bikePKR 199,000
Capital subsidy from the Punjab governmentPKR 90,000
Down paymentNone
Monthly installmentApproximately Rs 3,000
Financing period3 years
Interest, insurance, registration and token taxPaid by the Government of Punjab

The scooter is a 2026 electric model with a 72 V, 30 Ah LiFePO4 battery, a 1000 W rear hub motor and a top speed of 50 to 55 km/h, in Midnight Black or Sakura Pink, with a helmet and safety rods included. The Radio Pakistan report of 12 October adds that the Chief Minister directed free driving training for successful female applicants.

What to do while you wait

  • Log in once a week and after any news of the ballot; the status page is the only official place your result will show.
  • Keep the guarantor’s SIM active and in their name. Verification calls and codes go to that number.
  • Renew a learner’s permit that expires before delivery; the portal requires a valid document, not one that was valid at application.
  • Keep the fee slip for the current semester. If a new semester starts before the documentation stage, a newer paid slip may be asked for.
  • Ignore messages that promise a result or a bike for a payment. The scheme has no fee at any stage other than the monthly installment after delivery.

This page will be updated when the ballot date or the result procedure is announced on the official portal.
